AMSR-UE Ocean Wind Speed (Night), Aqua/AMSR-E; GCOM-W1/AMSR2

Description:: The Ocean Wind Speed (Night) layer shows wind speed over oceans at 10m altitude in units of meters per second (m/s). The data are derived from AMSR-E and AMSR2 brightness temperature observations that have been resampled by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) to facilitate an intercalibrated (i.e., “unified”) AMSR-E/AMSR2 data record. A daily visualization from NASA's Global Imagery Browse Services (GIBS), covering 2002-06-01 to 2011-10-04. Made from AMSR-E/AMSR2 Unified L2B Global Swath Ocean Products V001 (AU_Ocean, version 1, doi:10.5067/9YQRFKKEPUP4).
