Description:

This polygon shapefile represents the the total quantities of waste collected in tons in each of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates for 2009-2015. Data was collected in cooperation with the statistical utilities in each emirate and from the records of the technical authorities in the local entities.The original dataset was hosted on Bayanat.ae. It was joined to the UAE administrative district level 1 boundaries from the Global Administrative Areas database by Taylor Hixson in 2018. This dataset is only to be used for academic purposes.
