In original slipcase with cover title: A pocket mirror for North America, which exhibits at one view the European settlements with the claims of the English, and the French incroachments. Published by Tho[ma]s Jefferys ... Label on back of case: The French encroachments and extensive claims, as set forth in the late French maps of Mess:rs D'Anville, Robert Bellin, and in particular the map inserted in the Mémoires concernant les limites de L'Acadie, are distinguished by a faint yellow. Graphic scales: [2 1/16 in. or 5.3 cm. equal] 60 English marine leagues, 20 to a degree [or, 2 3/4 in. or 7 cm. equal] 280 English miles, 69 1/2 to a degree. Prime meridians: Ferro and London. Coordinates printed on map; Ferro at top (W 75⁰--W 35⁰); Greenwich, at bottom (W 87⁰35'--W 62⁰35' [i.e. W 92⁰35'--W 52⁰35' at top]/N 50⁰--N 30⁰). Text in lower right corner cuts lower part of map off at Florida coast, i.e. at W 78⁰ (Ferro W 60⁰).
